1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a binding legal agreement between you and ZodiacReads ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the website, application, and services available at app.zodiacreads.com (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
ZodiacReads is a web application that generates Vedic astrology birth charts (Kundli), divisional charts (Vargas), Vimshottari Dasha timelines, classical yogas and doshas, panchang information, numerology readings, transits, and related interpretive content based on the birth details you provide. Calculations are based on classical Sanskrit texts including Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra and Saravali.
We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice. We will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes that meaningfully affect your use of the Service.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) to create an account. By creating an account you represent and warrant that:
- You meet the minimum age requirement.
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- The information you provide is accurate and current.
- Your use of the Service does not violate any applicable law in your jurisdiction.
4. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your password and any third-party login (such as Google Sign-In) you use to access the Service. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us immediately at support@zodiacreads.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
- You may not share your account, sell access, or allow others to use your credentials.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that show signs of credential sharing, automated abuse, or breach of these Terms.
5. Acceptable Use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise extract source code or data beyond what is exposed by the user interface;
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service without our prior written consent;
- Bypass rate limits, authentication, or other security features;
- Upload or generate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, fraudulent, or that infringes the rights of others;
- Use the Service to harm, deceive, or impersonate any person;
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute output from the Service in a way that misrepresents it as your own original work;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or related infrastructure;
- Use the Service to make decisions affecting the legal rights, safety, finances, employment, or healthcare of others where the absence of human judgment would be inappropriate.
6. User Content and Birth Data
"User Content" includes the birth details, names, and labels you enter to generate charts. You retain all ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant ZodiacReads a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display the content solely to provide the Service to you.
If you enter birth details belonging to another person (a family member, friend, or client), you represent and warrant that you have obtained their informed consent to do so.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the User Content you submit. Inaccurate or fictional birth data will produce inaccurate astrological output.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, layout, original written content, illustrations, and the curated interpretive readings (excluding direct quotations from public-domain classical texts), is the property of ZodiacReads and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial astrological exploration. You may share screenshots of your own charts on social media, provided you do not crop out attribution.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service or its content without our prior written permission.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service uses third-party providers including infrastructure providers (Vercel, MongoDB Atlas), email delivery providers, geocoding APIs, and identity providers (Google Sign-In). Your use of these features is also subject to the providers' own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services beyond our reasonable control.
9. Fees, Subscriptions, and Refunds
The core Service is currently offered free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features, subscriptions, or premium tiers in the future. If we do so:
- You will be clearly informed of any fees before they are charged.
- Subscription terms, billing cycles, and refund policies will be presented at the point of purchase.
- Continued use of free features will not be conditioned on entering payment information.
Where promotional credits, demo access, or trial offers are made available, we may modify or revoke them at our discretion.
10. Astrology and Wellness Disclaimer
Important: The Service provides astrological interpretations and traditional wellness commentary for informational, cultural, educational, and entertainment purposes only. The output is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, psychological, or relationship advice.
- Do not rely on astrological output to make decisions about your health, finances, employment, legal matters, marriage, or major life events without consulting qualified professionals.
- Astrological readings are interpretive and probabilistic — they are not predictions of certain future events.
- Classical Vedic concepts (yogas, doshas, remedies) are presented as part of a traditional framework. Their cultural and spiritual significance may resonate with you, but they are not scientifically validated forecasts.
- If you are experiencing a medical, mental-health, or financial crisis, please contact a qualified professional or local emergency service immediately.
11. Warranty Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that defects will be corrected within any specific timeframe.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties are excluded.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ZodiacReads, its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In jurisdictions where exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability is not permitted, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. In any event, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred Indian Rupees (₹100).
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ZodiacReads and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including privacy or intellectual property rights; or (d) your use of the Service in violation of applicable law.
14. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by emailing support@zodiacreads.com with a deletion request. Upon deletion, your account, saved charts, and personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, abused the Service, or engaged in conduct that creates legal exposure for us or other users. Sections concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction located in India.
Where applicable consumer protection laws of your country of residence grant you additional rights, those rights are not affected by this clause.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
